The headquarters of this club is the Reepham
and Cherry Willingham Village Hall. The club was formed in 1988 to cater
for local residents with an interest in playing short mat bowls. The game
is played on special carpets 45 feet long and 6 feet wide with regulation
indoor/outdoor bowls and under the English Short Mat Bowls Association
rules.
The local club owns three carpets and 8
sets of woods. The club enters two teams in the Bishop Norton and District
League which runs throughout the winter months. There are also ample bowling
opportunities for anyone who does not wish to play in the league.
The members meet for social bowling regularly
during the winter months for two hour sessions on Tuesday and Friday afternoons
from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday and Wednesday evenings from 7 p.m. to
9 p.m. (except when there are league fixtures). The current annual membership
subscription is £15 per person with a playing fee of £1.60
per 2 hour session.
Everyone is welcome, young and old, beginners
and experienced bowlers.
