The great plus about bowls is that the game can be played by men and women young and old, firm and infirm — it is amazing how physical handicaps can be overcome when the game grabs you — and at very many different levels. It can be highly competitive or just good fun. We offer a choice of league bowling, club competitions, entry into outside competitions, or simply opportunities to enjoy a friendly game with one or more fellow-members. And then there are the special events such as an annual Strawberry Tea Bowls Drive (sometimes it is a barbecue or fish-and-chips event) and visits by touring teams from other parts of the country.
