The final judging of the competition took place at the end of July and a presentation evening was held before the Council meeting on August 18th.

The winners were Mr & Mrs Green and the runners-up were Mr & Mrs Arden. There was also a Highly commended for Mr and Mrs Larcombe, in particular for their vegetable garden.

Other finalists who received certificates were Mr & Mrs S Bowman, Mr & Mrs R Radley and Mrs Darby.

The judge was Mrs Margaret Brown the Chairman of the Lincoln Branch of the Hardy Plant Society and lecturer on plants and gardening.

For anybody wanting to see more of the gardens a display of photographs is on show in the village library.
