George will be sadly missed in Cherry Willingham where he served as a Parish Councillor for over 30 years and as a West Lindsey District Councillor for over 20 years and was on the County Council for 12 years. He was affectionately known as 'Milkie George' because for many years he ran his own business as a milkman in Cherry Willingham.

He was well respected in the Community. He was the inspiration behind the Silver Jubilee celebrations and the purchase of the former Methodist Chapel which was converted into the Millennium Hall, the Parish Office.

Everybody's heart goes out to Pat, his wife and his children, Terry and Julie.

The funeral took place at St Peter and St Paul's church on 2002 December 23. Donations were for the Church fund.
